Every VoltFab rack PDU is built on one chassis platform, so an operator can standardize mechanics across a hall and climb the monitoring ladder as tenants start demanding billing data. Moving a tier swaps the intelligence board, not the rack — and the tier names below are the same five-level classification the industry has used since inlet metering first appeared.

A Switched+Outlet tier PDU draws under 50 W for its own controller, so metering never eats the budget it reports. 0U verticals mount in the rear posts with tool-less brackets; a local display plus web interface covers commissioning before SNMP polling starts. For telecom sites the same platform is offered in a −48VDC variant.

Rack PDU questions we hear most.

What does billing-grade ±1% metering actually mean?
It means measurement accurate to ±1% of reading at the inlet and on each outlet — tight enough to invoice tenants against. In colocation, per-outlet data at that accuracy means sub-billing neither leaks revenue nor overcharges a tenant who will audit the numbers.
How should a three-phase PDU be configured?
A 400V WYE feed delivers roughly 22 kW from a 32A input, and 63A inputs push well past that for AI racks. The craft is in the outlet map: branch circuits must be phase-balanced so no leg sags first. We phase-balance your map and verify it during the pilot build.
HDOT or C13/C19 — which outlets should I specify?
HDOT combines two outlets in one high-density footprint and earns its keep on dense rack edges above roughly 40 outlets. C13 (10A) and C19 (16A) remain the standard IEC interface for most enterprise and AI servers, and mixed maps are routine.
What MOQ and lead time should I plan around?
MOQ starts at 10 pcs with typical lead times of 15–30 days. Pilot units come first so your team can verify the outlet map, metering readings and network behavior before mass production starts.
