OPEN CHANNEL VS CABLE TRAY
Add a rack without a rewiring project.
Cable-and-tray drops turn every rack addition into an electrician-sized event: de-energize, pull, land, label, inspect. An open-channel track busway runs overhead once, then tap-off boxes plug in anywhere along the run — tool-free, while the system stays live — turning a change that took a shift into minutes per rack. When a hall's intake outgrows the 800A track class, the same copper geometry continues as feeder busway rated to 6300A.

DEPLOYMENT DETAIL

Runs mount on standard threaded rod with telescoping joints absorbing building tolerances, so installs slot into weekend windows instead of outages. Each tap-off box reports its own current, letting DCIM see load at the point of change rather than only at the panel. Color-coded collars and phase markings keep future crews honest long after the original install team has rotated off the site.
